Our Vintage Cabin on Wheels
Harvie - The 87' B250

Harvie is more than just a vehicle; he is a fully contained mobile cabin designed to keep you comfortable in the wild. We have preserved his vintage soul while ensuring the living experience is clean, functional, and surprisingly spacious.
The Captain’s Quarters: The journey begins up front, where Harvie offers a driving experience defined by stability and comfort. Built on a heavy-duty 3/4 ton chassis, he feels secure on the road, while the plush captain’s chairs provide long-haul support with both heat and ice-cold A/C. When you find your perfect parking spot, the space transforms instantly: both front seats swivel 180 degrees to face the rear, opening up the cab to become a spacious lounge area.
The Galley Kitchen: Forget about living out of a cooler; Harvie’s kitchen is ready for real cooking. The galley is equipped with a 3-way refrigerator (complete with a freezer) to keep your ingredients fresh and your ice frozen. You have ample cabinetry for pantry goods, a stainless steel sink with running water for easy cleanup, and a 3-burner propane stove to whip up a morning feast, which you can enjoy at the removable indoor dining table.
Rest & Warmth: We know that a good adventure requires good rest. Harvie features a dedicated fold-out double bed with plush cushioning that many guests find more comfortable than a hotel mattress. Because nights in the Rockies can get chilly, the interior is equipped with a thermostat-controlled propane furnace to keep you toasty warm without needing to run the engine. You can sleep soundly with blackout curtains for total privacy, and utilize the massive overhead loft to store your backpacks and gear out of the way.
Freedom to Roam: Harvie is set up for true freedom. He carries a dedicated house battery that powers the lights, two all-weather roof fans, the water pump, and the fridge while you are parked—all of which recharge automatically as you drive. For convenience, there is an enclosed, private washroom with a flushing toilet on board. If you do decide to stay at a serviced campground, you can simply plug into Shore Power to utilize the household-style outlets inside; otherwise, the 12V power points keep your devices charged wherever the road takes you.
To us, Harvie isn’t just a unit number in a fleet. He’s the one who started it all.
Harvie is a true classic... a 1987 factory-built camper with a soul that was born for the wild. Unlike the converted cargo vans of today that spent their past lives hauling plumbing supplies, Harvie has only ever known one thing: adventure. He rolled off the line with a singular purpose to roam, and that spirit is practically welded into his frame.
Harvie represents a specific era of adventure that you just can’t replicate with a modern build. Originally converted into a camper in Manitoba, he has made his way west and has spent the majority of his life navigating the landscapes of Alberta. He is a vehicle that truly belongs in the Rockies.
His history has been preserved throughout his timeless interior. Instead of tearing out the interior, he's been through light renovations to keep the original camper craftsmanship. His charm, warmth, and vintage aesthetic have served him well for decades and forever will. Under the hood sits a strong V8 engine, along with a heavy-duty 3/4 ton chassis, which offer a surprisingly solid and planted driving experience. Harvie handles windy mountain roads and straight highways with a stability that defies his age. He is a capable, authentic vessel that is ready to return to the mountains he knows so well... with your help, of course!
Simply pack your clothes and prep some meals; Harvie has the rest. We believe your road trip should start the moment you turn the key, not after three hours of packing, and it's our goal to have you ready to hit the road. Harvie comes fully stocked with premium gear and consumables at no extra charge. The following list is a quick snapshot of what we offer:

Since we provide all the heavy gear (bedding, kitchenware, chairs), you don’t need to pack like you’re moving out. You need to pack like you’re moving in. Space in a van is premium real estate. Here is a list of what you actually need to maximize your experience in Harvie and some recommendations from our crew...
The Essentials:
-
Soft Duffel Bags: Hard-shell suitcases are difficult to store in a van. Soft duffels or backpacks can be squished into the overhead loft or cabinets much more easily.
-
Camp shoes: Slip-on shoes that live by the door. You will be getting in and out of the van 50 times a day. Lacing up boots every time is a nightmare.
Clothing - The weather here can change in 5 minutes. You need to be able to bundle up quickly:
-
The Puffy Jacket
-
Rain Shell
-
Base layers
-
Swimsuit
Personal toiletries - Harvie has a washroom, but space is tight:
-
Public Shower Shoes
-
Body Wipes / Baby Wipes
-
Moisturizer & Lip Balm
-
Sunscreen & Bug Spray
-
Personal Meds
Tech and Navigation - Cell service can be unreliable in the mountains or far out in the prairies:
-
Downloaded Maps
-
Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Food and Grocery Strategy - Harvie has a fridge/freezer and pantry space, but these aren't residential sizes. Shop smart:
-
Drinking Water: Some prefer the taste of bottled water over campground tap water.
-
Shop for 2-3 Days: Don't try to buy a whole week of groceries at once. Restock as you go.
Safety - We rent during bear season:
-
Bear Spray
